We’re Moving! Get Ready for Canvas
Meet RCC’s new home for online courses and learn what you need to get started.
Over the next few months, RCC online courses will begin moving from Moodle to Canvas, our new online learning platform. This transition will happen in stages, so for a short time you may have courses in Moodle, Canvas, or both.
Don't worry! We've put together the information and resources below to help you know where to go and get comfortable using Canvas.
🧭 Where Is My Course?
The most important thing to remember during the transition is that courses will not move from Moodle to Canvas after they have started.
My course has already started in Moodle
Keep using Moodle for that course. Your course will remain in Moodle through the end of the course.
I'm starting a new course
New Continuing Education courses are beginning to use Canvas, and Winter Curriculum courses will also be offered in Canvas.
Beginning in January 2027, all RCC courses will use Canvas.
Not sure which system to use?
Check the information provided by your instructor or RCC to determine whether your course is being offered in Moodle or Canvas.
🔑 Accessing RCC Canvas
When it's time for your course to begin in Canvas, you'll access it through the RCC Canvas website:
randolphcc.instructure.com
You may want to bookmark this page so you can easily return to it.
Can't log in yet? That's okay!
Your Canvas account will be created closer to the start of your first course that uses Canvas.
If you aren't taking a Canvas course yet, you may not be able to sign in to Canvas. You do not need to create a Canvas account yourself.
Once your RCC Canvas account is ready, you'll be able to sign in and access your Canvas courses.
